InMode Ltd., a global leader in medical technologies, will be represented by its Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Spero Theodorou, at the 23rd Annual Needham & Company Virtual Healthcare Conference. The conference, taking place from April 8-11, 2024, will bring together industry leaders to discuss groundbreaking developments and future prospects in healthcare. InMode will be participating in the event on April 9^th. Dr. Theodorou, along with the CEO Moshe Mizrahy, and CFO Yair Malca, will engage in a fireside chat moderated by Mike Matson, a Senior Equity Research Analyst. Dr. Spero Theodorou, our distinguished plastic surgeon at Park Avenue Smart Lipo™, actively participated in the 58th Annual Baker Gordon Symposium, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to excellence in aesthetic surgery. This event, renowned for its legacy in advancing aesthetic surgery education, showcased Dr Theodorou’s expertise in minimally invasive and non-invasive plastic surgery procedures. Spanning three days from February 8 to 10, the symposium featured live surgical demonstrations and informative lectures, delving into a broad spectrum of aesthetic and technical concepts.

On Thursday, February 9, 2024, Dr Theodorou spoke on the topic “Long Term Results with Radiofrequency – Primary Procedure, in Combination with Surgery and as an Aid for Revision Following Surgery”. Later on, on the same day, he presented a live demonstration, “Multimodal Radiofrequency for Facial Rejuvenation.”

Dr. Spero Theodorou, the founder and surgical director of bodySCULPT®, has raised concerns about the safety of dermal fillers. His study suggests that dermal fillers may block lymphatic channels in the face, which can have potential long-term effects on the immune system’s functionality. The study used a special camera to track the movement of a dye injected into the faces of women who had undergone facial filler procedures. The findings revealed that the dye accumulated in areas where it should have been drained by a functioning lymphatic system. Dr. Theodorou has stopped offering dermal fillers at his practice, and is urging people to consider the risks before getting them. While some experts opine that dermal fillers may block lymphatics in localized areas but do not pose systemic threats to the overall immune system, the debate over the safety of dermal fillers continues. The lack of regulatory oversight in the industry and recent cases of severe complications have prompted a reevaluation of their safety.

Hosted by The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, this conference serves as a platform for top surgeons in the field to share their insights with colleagues and other participants from around the world. This meeting is the premier educational and networking event of the year for domestic as well as international plastic surgeons. Plastic Surgery The Meeting has provided generations of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeons the education they need to grow all aspects of their surgical career and practice.

This event includes four days of programming, and access to on-demand content. The on-demand content will be available starting at 8:00 a.m. Central time, October 19 through December 31.

On October 19, Dr. Spero Theodorou will deliver a talk titled “The ABC’s of Anesthesia and Body Contouring,” featured in the on-demand content. He will present on the topic of avoiding general anesthesia in body contouring, emphasizing its role in reducing major complications. Participants will be able to identify safe practices in anesthesia with body contouring. They would also be able to learn about new medication that could aid sedation-based anesthesia as well as about transitioning from the operating room to office-or surgical suite-based procedures.

Dr. Christopher Chia’s session is on October 29 and he will speak on “Mind the Gap: Inner Thigh Contouring Demystified”. This will cover all aspects of thighplasty – from non-invasive state-of-the-art technology to minimal incision to full length scars, avulsion techniques and serial excision. The session will provide participants a comprehensive understanding of various thighplasty procedures, and they will also understand how to avoid complications and achieve optimal results with thigh contouring.
